How did the current state of the environment influence your decision to join Zest?
Joining a B-Corp dedicated to sustainability aligned perfectly with my passion for creating meaningful social and environmental impact. By being part of this innovative and forward-thinking organisation, I saw an opportunity to contribute to substantial positive change, leveraging my skills and experience to support initiatives that address environmental concerns and promote sustainable development.

What advice would you give someone joining Zest?
My advice to someone joining Zest would be to embrace the collaborative and inclusive culture from day one. Take full advantage of the opportunity to connect with colleagues across different departments through initiatives like chat roulette and team days. Don’t be afraid to contribute your unique skills and ideas to help further Zest's mission of promoting sustainable transportation. I have been involved in numerous initiatives since joining the business assisting make sure you put your ideas forward your knowledge, skills and expertise will extend past your current role.
How have you found working from home since joining Zest?
I have established a productive routine that includes aerobic fitness, gym workouts, and swimming each morning before starting my workday. During lunch breaks, I take walks to meet my daily step count goals and find inspiration outdoors, where I often generate my best ideas. Given the nature of my role, which involves working on various projects across the UK, working from home allows me to rest, recharge, and efficiently handle administrative tasks in a comfortable environment, encouraging a positive work-life balance.
How can a new employee ensure they are successful in their first 30 days of joining Zest?
Work with your manager to define clear goals and expectations for your role. Establish milestones for the first 30 days and beyond, ensuring alignment with team and company objectives. Actively seek feedback from your manager and colleagues on your work and contributions. Showing curiosity and eagerness to learn demonstrates your commitment to success. Above all, be authentic; Zest hired you because they saw something special in you.
