Partnering with councils and wider public sector organisations to deploy essential EV charging.

Zest partners with local authorities and wider public sector organisations to deliver fully funded EV charging infrastructure. We handle everything from site assessment and planning to installation and ongoing maintenance, at zero cost to our partners. Our social value commitments support local employment and skills development in every project.

Zest helps local authorities make more of their LEVI funding by combining public capital with private investment. This enables local authority EV charging schemes to scale and investment to be focused where it’s needed most. We work closely with council EV teams, supporting planning, procurement and contract management. With hands-on experience of LEVI Support Body requirements and Energy Saving Trust guidance, we help ensure schemes are compliant, well governed and progress smoothly from funding award into delivery and operation.

Zest’s dedicated Social Value team supports each public sector EV charging project, working alongside councils to embed social value commitments from the outset. We prioritise the use of local suppliers and contractors, support school outreach and work experience programmes, and create fair-wage employment and training opportunities throughout the UK. Our approach includes targeted routes into work for care leavers, ex-armed forces and people who face barriers to employment, alongside mentoring and skills development to support long-term progression.
