NFU Energy, a leading energy consultancy, has joined forces with Zest, one of the UK’s fastest growing electric vehicle (EV) charging networks. Under the terms of the partnership, NFU Energy will extend its business energy services to include Zest EV charging solutions.

Giving advice and practical support to businesses, with a special focus on agriculture and horticulture, NFU Energy customers will benefit from Zest’s fully funded and fully managed EV charging infrastructure. This will help landowners and farmers to diversify by transforming underused brownfield sites into a sustainable revenue stream. Solutions include EV charging hubs, destination EV charging and solar canopies.

Zest is backed by the government-sponsored £420m Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund (CIIF), designed to accelerate the UK’s provision of public access charge points. It means that Zest can invest in comprehensive facilities and operate them over the long term. Recent projects include Metrocentre, Hackney Council and Transport for London.

Lisa Howkins, NFU Energy Sales & Marketing Director said: “We’re delighted to partner with Zest as part of our Renewable Energy Solutions service. With all of our partnerships, we look for specialists with longevity; that meet high customer service standards from the initial design phase to the ongoing operation. We believe Zest will provide just that when they invest in our customers.”
“Our mission is to provide abundant and convenient EV charging right across the UK,” said Robin Heap, Zest CEO. “The decision to work with NFU Energy was an easy one, given their unrivalled understanding of the needs of farmers and rural landowners.”
