Zest, the UK’s fastest-growing investor-operator of public EV charging infrastructure, has opened a new ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging site at KFC on Nuthall Road, Nottingham, giving drivers a fast and convenient way to charge while visiting the restaurant.

The new site includes four 150kW charging spaces, providing reliable, high-powered charging for local drivers and people travelling through the area.

The deployment has been delivered through Zest’s partnership with franchise operator Gastronomy Foods, supporting the rollout of convenient public EV charging at everyday destinations.

Robin Heap, CEO at Zest, said:

“Nuthall Road is another strong example of how ultra-rapid charging can become part of people’s everyday routines. By working with Gastronomy Foods to install chargers at a familiar destination, we’re making it simpler for drivers to charge when and where it suits them.”

Located on Nuthall Road, the chargers allow customers to top up their vehicles while grabbing a bite to eat, making charging easier to fit into day-to-day journeys.

With four ultra-rapid 150kW charging spaces available, the facility is designed to support faster charging sessions and help more drivers make the switch to electric vehicles with confidence.

Ian Gill at Gastronomy Foods said:

“We’re pleased to partner with Zest to bring ultra-rapid EV charging to KFC Nuthall Road. The new facilities give customers greater convenience when they visit and support the transition to cleaner transport in Nottingham.”
